Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Sergio brings a wealth of expertise and a persistent commitment to the table. Graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Sergio’s outstanding performance earned him the esteemed Taiwan Scholarship from the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, propelling him towards his Master’s studies at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

During his tenure at NTUST, Sergio delved deep into the nuances of power electronics, refining his skills at the Power Electronics Laboratory. Upon completing his Master’s degree in 2019, Sergio ventured into the realm of real-world applications at Delta Electronics, our project partner, within the Energy & Infrastructure Solutions Business group, where he played an integral role in crafting power converters and hardware for cutting-edge EV chargers and Battery Energy Storage Systems.

In 2023, Sergio embarked on a new challenge with his PhD journey at Eindhoven University of Technology  with our E2Go project. Here, his focus lies on advancing the development of power converters for the seamless integration of renewable energies into fast-charging infrastructure.
