He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with First Class Honors from Namal University, Mianwali (affiliated with the University of Bradford, UK). Subsequently, he completed his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electrical Power and Energy Systems, from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 2017.

During his Master’s program, he conducted research on solar-assisted electric vehicle (EV) systems, where he designed a DC-DC converter to enhance efficiency in EV drive systems. This project involved developing a solar-assisted motor drive that optimized power flow and improved overall energy efficiency.

As a Doctoral Candidate (DC6) in the E2GO project, Muhammad will be starting of his journey at the University of Minho followed up by a stay at Efacec. His research focuses on developing advanced thermal management systems to improve cooling efficiency and extend the lifespan of power electronic devices, particularly in high-performance applications like fast-charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
