The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is a leading international university of technology specializing in Engineering Science & Technology. The key personnel is affiliated with the Electrical Energy Systems (EES) group of TU/e. EES group has world-class research in addressing the challenges for the next-generation sustainable electrical energy systems. EES’s knowledge of advanced power conversion technologies and system integration methodologies supports the electrification of e-mobility.

Smart Grid Lab: a double room laboratory equipped with a lot of experimental facilities including 45kVA programmable 3 phase source; 15kVA programmable 3 phase source; 9kVA programmable load; 30kW adjustable load; 2 Wind power generators; Photovoltaic systems; Active and passive filters.
Medium Voltage Lab: the department has invested 1.3 million to build a medium voltage lab that is currently under construction (to be put into use around Sept of 2022 ).
General facilities: TU/e is a public technical university with a staff of about 5.000 and a total number of students of about 11.000. The university comprises 9 departments and is situated in the center of one of the most powerful technology hubs in the world: Brainport Eindhoven. The university has more than sufficient capacity to host and supervise the research and training of the recruited ESRs.

All research facilities are owned by TU/e and wholly independent from other beneficiaries and associated partners in the consortium.

Other relevant efforts
Innovation product: in cooperation with Prodrive, Enexis, Alliander and Kema we are designing and building a prototype of a solid-state transformer for substations with 10kVA power rating.
Publications: key personnel has published many articles in top-level journals on design, analysis
and implementation of high power-high performance power conversion systems.
